Our Services

From complete CNC machine rebuilds to precision in-house machining — Schienke offers the full spectrum of machine tool services backed by 40 years of hands-on expertise.

CNC Rebuilding & Retrofitting

Schienke specializes in bringing aging CNC machine tools back to factory specification — or better. We perform complete mechanical rebuilds, restoring way geometry, spindle integrity, and axis accuracy. Our control retrofits replace obsolete systems with modern, supported control platforms, giving your machine a new service life without the cost of replacement.

Whether it's a single-axis ballscrew replacement or a full ground-up rebuild, our team documents every step and verifies results to original tolerances.

  • Fanuc, Siemens & Mitsubishi control upgrades
  • Ballscrew & way system replacement
  • Full geometry correction & alignment
  • Spindle rebuild & bearing replacement
  • Verification to original OEM tolerances

Parts & Components

Finding the right parts for aging or legacy CNC equipment is often the biggest challenge in keeping machines running. Schienke sources OEM and high-quality aftermarket replacement parts, and where no off-the-shelf option exists, we manufacture components in-house.

Our parts capability directly supports our rebuild and repair work — the same precision standards that go into a full rebuild go into every component we supply.

  • OEM and quality aftermarket parts
  • In-house fabricated custom components
  • Hard-to-find & obsolete part sourcing
  • Fast turnaround on in-stock items
  • Schienke-manufactured precision parts

In-House CNC Machining

Schienke operates large 5-axis CNC machining centers in-house — the same equipment we use to fabricate precision components for our own rebuild and retrofit projects. This gives us a perspective most service companies don't have: we understand CNC machines as machinists, not just as technicians.

Our machining capability is also available for contract work. Whether you need a prototype, a first-article component, or a limited production run of precision machined parts, our team brings the same exacting standards to the machine as we do to every rebuild job.

  • Large 5-axis CNC machining capability
  • Complex geometry and compound-angle features
  • Contract and limited-run production machining
  • Prototype and first-article work
  • Aerospace & automotive precision tolerances

Laser Machine Calibration

Dimensional accuracy doesn't start on the part — it starts with the machine. Schienke performs laser-based geometric calibration to verify and restore the full spatial accuracy of CNC machine tools, catching error sources that standard checks miss and compensating them before they reach your work.

We measure every critical axis relationship and deliver a full calibration report documenting baseline deviations, corrections applied, and final verified performance — giving you traceability and confidence in your machine's output.

  • Squareness & perpendicularity between axes
  • Linear positioning accuracy & repeatability
  • Parallelism & straightness of axis travel
  • Pitch, roll & yaw angular error measurement
  • Flatness & surface plane verification
  • Full calibration report & documentation

How We Work

Every job — from a quick repair to a full rebuild — follows the same disciplined process.

1

Initial Assessment

We evaluate the machine thoroughly — electrical, mechanical, and control systems — to scope the work accurately.

2

Quote & Scope

A detailed written quote with timeline and deliverables. No surprises — we communicate clearly before work begins.

3

Precision Rebuild / Repair

Our technicians execute the work to exacting standards, documenting findings and measurements throughout.

4

Testing & Delivery

We verify performance against spec, provide documentation, and deliver the machine ready to return to production.
